is a technique that I have developed over my twenty-five years of teaching.
I use it with my own characters to great effect. It is an endlessly fascinating
way to develop characters. You will be amazed at how quickly most characters
emerge with his or her distinct voice when interviewed. Why? Your characters want to talk!I
have interviewed countless characters for countless writers, many who
felt uneasy at first. But everyone, without exception, ended up not only
having fun but also uncovering massive amounts of character and story
line. You can come with a character or characters with whom you are already
