How to Work With Writing Prompts

Looking for something to get your writing jump started? Or just looking for something new? Writing prompts could be just the thing.

If you've never worked with writing prompts, here are a few guidelines:

  1. Writing prompts are best to do with pen and paper.

  2. Don't think about what you're going to write.

  3. Glance over the writing prompts. Start with the prompt that hits you the strongest, or the one you dislike most, or the one that scares you. Use the prompt as the opening or starting point.

  4. You might want to set a timer before you begin. Give yourself at least 15 minutes.

  5. Once you begin, don't pick up your pen off the page. Just write, write, write.

  6. Don't stop until the buzzer rings

  7. Enjoy....

Enter through the labyrinth and have fun..
