Re-Discovering the Feminine Face of God, A workshop
Judy Clough and Marilyn Day will lead a workshop at Still Point Interfaith Retreat Center in Stillwater, NY on Saturday, April 30, 2005, from 10 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. entitled Re-Discovering the Feminine Face of God: a workshop for women.
In Western culture, we are accustomed to references to the Divine being couched in the masculine gender. And yet there have been—and are—many cultures in which God is Goddess. Learn about some of these powerful feminine images and how they can empower you. Writing, ritual and expressive arts included as tools for a nurturing day.
Sit in a circle of women.
Feel the feminine energy.
Connect with WomanSpirit through goddess images and archetypal stories.
Begin to trust that these are your very own stories.
Let these insights empower you.
Let new understanding enhance your creativity and your life.
Cost is $65 (all to benefit Still Point). Some scholarships are available (you need only ask).
Bring a lunch.
Register by 4/23/05. Call Marilyn at 518-869-1706 with any questions or e-mail her at: wmnwords@nycap.rr.com
Still Point's phone number is 518-587-4967, if you need directions or wish to call for any other purpose. For those who are not familiar with Still Point, it is a small, non-profit interfaith retreat center just 2.2 miles from Saratoga Lake-- check out their website at www.stillpointretreatcenter.com for info about the place and its programs. Welcoming House, the conference building where workshops are held, is awesome with its mandala window looking out onto nature.
