Everyone has a story, but no one can find the essence of those stories like a Fiction Writer! This is what we'll do in this fun, fast-moving fiction writing workshop.
We'll get the imagination going with quick, two-minute, five-minute, and ten-minute writing sessions that are inspired by pictures you'll randomly pick from a large collection I call "People Prompts." You'll have to write fast, so you get out of your way and let the character tell the story!
After the warm up with the quick writes, we'll move on to developing a longer story.
What Ifs? are an excellent to open up first draft writing. We will use this technique throughout the workshop as we move on with more prompts and longer writing times. This includes picture and writing prompts as well as "Mystery Prompts" such as this:
"Use the three elements as part of a story: A jammed lock, the scent of jasmine, and a sweet summer breeze."
