Are You Blocked With Your Writing? I Can Help!
Is It Lack of Inspiration, or Are You Being Held Hostage by Your Inner Critic?
An Hour-and-a-Half Session: $150
My fierce Inner Critic became an infinitesimal whisper... Bob Storms
"I began Emily's Mentoring Program with a massive case of writer's block and an unrelenting internal critic that became especially loud and harsh whenever I successfully wrote more than three pages.
Emily, however, has a gift. She knows writers and she knows their inner critics. It took some fits and starts but she helped me see how I empowered a fierce inner critic.
She showed me how to take the drama out of its voice and make it a infinitesimal whisper. I'm now four hundred pages into a rough draft because she also helped me find the courage to fall down the rabbit hole and be nonchalant about the creative chaos that a rough draft entails. If you want to write, you need to talk to Emily."
There are many reasons why we come a standstill with our writing. Although it can be that you need a break from writing, the more common cause is an Inner Critic attack.
In our hour and a half session, we begin by exploring where you are in your writing, and how you view yourself as a writer.
We then explore the many ways the Inner Critic confounds and keeps you from writing. Here are some of the most common Inner Critic commands, but by no mean all of them.
No wonder you're blocked! But the good news is your Inner Critic is only a part of you and, after being with you most of your life, you better believe your Inner Critic knows how to push all your buttons.
One of the best ways to get writing again is begin to identify your Inner Critic and build the muscle of your Inner Writer — the part of you who knows you were born to write and is ready to be your Creative Warrior if you just give her the chance.
