Accommodations: Choice of rooms is based on the order in which students register for the Retreat, and the availability of Single vs Shared Rooms. You can only choose a shared room (and receive the related $200 discount) if space in one is available (based on the order of registration).
All rooms are large, and enjoy panoramic views of the ocean (and the sunrise over the ocean.)
All rooms have very comfortable beds – Queens or Kings in the Single Rooms; Twins in the Shared Rooms.
Some of the Singles have private bathrooms; the other bedrooms share a bathroom with those in the adjacent room. All bathrooms have instant, unlimited hot water and roomy showers.
Every room has central air conditioning and lovely, clean air continuously filtered by our whole-house air filtration system.

Dining: Except for the one night when we all dine out together at my favorite restaurant in Bar Harbor (splitting the tab), all our meals are prepared by our Chef and her staff. I personally select all the dinner recipes, which sometimes include my own recipes. Chef decides what she wants to make for breakfasts, lunches, and desserts. The quality of the food, recipes and preparation are what you would find in a fine restaurant. Quite different from what one normally eats at other retreats!
I aim to make each meal of each day one that you’ll look forward to before, and happily think of after. Because our Circle is small enough, dinner is a shared experience marked by a lot of talk and laughter, from which nobody is ever left out!
Special Dietary Needs: With each meal, we offer a vegetarian option. Also, to the extent reasonable, Chef accommodates food issues, such as: Salt-free; gluten-free; allergies like peanut or shellfish; Kosher; etc. However, anything to which anyone might ever have possibly been allergic will have been cooked or used in our kitchen at some point in time. And also, mistakes may happen. However, Chef will do her best to accommodate reasonable requests, which should be exclusively routed through my associate (and big sister) Alida.
