As a Fiction Writing Coach and Book Doctor, the programs I offer are built on a foundation that teaches my students the skills they need to write a complete novel.
As a published novelist, I know that moving from the blank page to a finished manuscript is both challenging and exciting. It's essential to the work I've done with hundreds of people and for myself. I've been published eight times and am passionate about this work. If you want a writing coach who lives and breathes fiction writing, I'm the one.

Hi Emily, I wanted to let you know I signed a three-book deal for my mystery set in Savannah and have several short stories being published this year. This is in no small part due to your coaching and your Writing Retreats, so I wanted to thank you for all you have done for me over the years and also let you know that my writing life is doing well.

Writing Workshops
I have two weekly writing workshops. One is at my home in Yorktown Heights, NY, and the other is held on the telephone, through conference calling. Everyone reads and receives a critique every week. Workshops are intimate, instructive, and supportive. Good critiquing leaves you inspired, not deflated, and that is what you will experience in all of my workshops! Explore the Writing Workshops |
Teach, Support, Inspire: About Emily
As a fiction writing coach, I guide my students in all aspects of the writing process — from jump-starting ideas for their stories to delving into their creative unconscious and bringing their characters to life. I do this through my understanding of how the different stages of the creative process allow the freewheeling possibilities of a first draft to progress into a more keenly developed story that leads to completion.
