Being a Fiction Writer Is
Passionate, Fun, and Freeing! On this retreat, the Weave of Writing and Creativity allows us to experience ourselves as creative women writers unfettered by our Inner Critics. We are inspired by each other and by the incredible beauty of nature that surrounds us.
No matter your writing experience, you become a part of a circle of women who are open to the daring, fun and passion of fiction writing! |
Creativity Arises From Risk and Passion.
We Cannot Write Without It!
We Cannot Write Without It!
Words alone do not a writer make! The source of our writing is our creativity. On my writing retreat we write seriously, eat extremely well, and are inspired by the incomparable nature of Maine and Acadia National Park.
We laugh. We share. We support. We welcome challenge. We dig deeper.
We learn to love our first drafts and use fiction writing techniques to develop our characters and stories.
We become fearless Warriors for our creativity, our writing and the deep knowing that we are writers!

"The retreat is amazing. I have changed. I have grown more accepting of myself. I have let myself fly unfettered. I have felt childlike and adult at the same time, responsible for the process but enjoying it with the wonder of a small child. " ~ Michelle Burton
"My favorite parts of the Bar Harbor Retreat were the amazing setting, sense of peace, listening to what others wrote and sharing at so many levels. The food is 5 stars!" ~Mary Jane Taxter
"My writing is coming through in a different way. It's freer. I'm not pressing forward to get through the scene. I've let it go where it wants and assume I'll end up in the right place. It's been a lot of fun."
~ Rebecca Miller
