The Town of Bar Harbor
The town is a funky place with lovely shops where you can find some beautiful items, some yummy restaurants and also shops cater to the National Park visitors that crowd Maine Street in summer. It's always fun to walk around, shop, go down to the harbor and get some ever abundant Bar Harbor ice cream!
"The retreat was an amazing gift for my Inner Writer, one that validated her existence and pushed her to stretch beyond the allowed boundaries. She's learned a lot about the techniques of writing and the creative process." - Sandya Nankani
Acadia National Park
We’ll have ample time to enjoy the myriad pleasures of Acadia, which is well served by free public buses that stop at all the most spectacular vistas and trailheads. Or you can drive. Acadia has both mountains and seashore, both ranging from easily accessible to strenuous. When my husband and I were young, we hiked every day.
My favorite part of the Bar Harbor Retreat was the most amazing setting, the sense of peace, listening to what others wrote and the sharing among us at so many levels. And the food is 5 stars!
