It takes time to fully release the busyness of life, so we can fully explore our writing and the path of our creativity. This is what we do from the moment we first come together in Bar Harbor.
Time is precious. Time on the retreat flows and is full of promise and fulfillment. Time spent writing, creating alone and with others, sharing meals and good conversation, laughing, listening to open readings, sitting and gazing out over the vastness of a glittering ocean, a rising sun... all this and more compromise our Circle of Creativity during our week together.
We have plenty of time in which to absorb the unique beauty of the earth, sea, and sky that surround us everywhere in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The combination of time and place meld into a truly exceptional writing experience.
Our comfort with each other, our comfort with our writing, and the willingness to take creative risks grow as one day merges into the next. It is always sad to leave the sweet womb of our circle, but there is so much to bring home!
