Writing One Scene Is All It Takes To Get Started With Emily!

I've built this section of my website to guide you through the process of writing a scene. Whether we're working by phone or in person, the most common question new students ask is: How much do they need to have written before they call me?

One scene is all it takes; it can be as short as four pages or as long as twenty!

How Long Should It Take Me To Write This Scene?
I've had new students who wrote ten pages in a few hours, and others who wrote a four-page scene over the span of a week.

Either is fine! We'll have enough material for you to make use of our introductory session.

The first step to getting started is to set time aside when you won't be interrupted. Then begin writing, guided by my technique called The Five Ingredients Of The Scene.℠

To begin writing your scene, just choose the genre that most excites you, and explore the picture prompts to guide your writing!
