​On my retreats, the Weave of Writing and Creativity allows us to experience ourselves as creative women writers unfettered by our Inner Critics. 

As writers, we love words, but the wheels of the fiction writer's journey are oiled by the imagination. When we trust our imagination, our characters, plots, and scenes take off. When we embrace the unknown, creative magic shows up for all of us!

You'll love the Circle we'll all create during this week. Supported by our small group of creative, welcoming women writers, you'll flourish as never before!

The minute you arrive at Rising Sun Cottage, you are embraced and nurtured as a fiction writer. The enthused chatter and infectious excitement of welcoming old and new friends put all of us at ease, whether it's your first or tenth retreat. It doesn't take long for any fears of not belonging or not being good enough to vanish.

The house itself, with all its marvelous ocean and mountain views, never ceases to awe and inspire. Nature, the most glorious creatrix of all time, seems to welcome our Circle!
​The Retreat is held in my two waterfront homes in Bar Harbor, Maine. Every room has glorious views of the water with vast vistas of the sea. Imagine awakening to a sunrise that paints the sky in radiant hues, while the ocean below sparkles in the morning's glow.

​During the Retreat, we're surrounded by the wonders of Acadia National Park. Known as the place where the mountains meet the sea. Acadia is truly a world apart. ​The landscape, constantly birthing and recreating itself, is manna for the fiction writer's  imagination! ​​​In Autumn, Bar Harbor is truly breathtaking! I often think it is my favorite time of the year.
